Chemises
If you frequently wear clothing such as skirts, gowns, and bodices then it makes good sense to have a chemise in your collection because it can be worn under these items and can be compared to a medieval slip. During those days chemises weren't a cool way to express yourself. Nope, they were wearing them for completely different reasons. The reason for wearing them back then was to to absorb the body's soils and leave less wear and tear on the outer garment. Reason being the outer garment is commonly more pricey and takes up more cash to fix up.
